Look Good…Feel Better (LGFB)
Event Description: This free program provided by the American Cancer Society teaches female cancer patients how to cope with the appearance-related side effects of chemotherapy and radiation treatments. The program helps to restore their appearance and self-esteem through the use of skincare and makeup, wigs, scarves and other accessories. In addition to addressing appearance issues, LGFB classes teach women how to properly care for their skin and nails during cancer treatment. LGFB Workshops are taught by licensed beauty professional cosmetologists, estheticians, and nail technicians who have undergone detailed, standardized training (LGFB certification) in every aspect of the program.
